Oni Sundaes

Ink & watercolor paintings created for "The Special Feature" (2023) an annual small group show of selected artists at Giant Robot Store in Los Angeles, CA. Two ice cream sundaes inspired by "The Red Oni Who Cried" --- there was a Red Oni who wanted to befriend children in a nearby village but was unsuccessful. His friend, the Blue Oni, came up w/ a plan to pretend to be a threat to the children & Red Oni could come "rescue" them. The plan worked & Red Oni was able to befriend the children, however, he later discovered that Blue Oni left forever to avoid their plan being found out, causing Red Oni to cry.
